Our Story

We're Seth and Gina Ogle, the family behind Fire & Flavor LLC, based in Arbela, Missouri. What started with a simple yes to a friend's catering request nine years ago has grown into a business built around something we've always believed: good food brings people together.

For us, this business is about more than serving a meal. It's about being part of the celebrations, gatherings, and moments people remember. From weddings and rehearsal dinners to company events and family celebrations, we love helping people bring their plans to life with food made with care.

A Family Business, Through and Through

Family has always been at the center of what we do. We're raising our four kids here in northeast Missouri, staying involved in our local community, and balancing the busy life that comes with family, farming, and running a catering business.

Seth works as a welder and poultry producer, while Gina leads much of the cooking, menu development, and catering planning. We each bring different skills to the table, and together we make Fire & Flavor what it is today. Like most family businesses, there's plenty of hard work behind the scenes, but that's part of what makes it meaningful to us.

Built Around the Fire

Our love for barbecue started nearly 24 years ago with a small vertical smoker we received as a wedding gift. Over time, smoking meat grew from a hobby into one of the defining parts of our business.

About 15 years ago, Seth built his first offset smoker from scratch. That homemade pit taught us lessons no cookbook could, and it even served us during the first year of our food trailer. When we outgrew it, Seth built the offset smoker we use today from a 500-gallon propane tank.

We smoke our barbecue over hickory sourced from nearby farms, bringing a little of our local roots into every cook. We believe great barbecue takes time, patience, and attention to the details. There's no shortcut for that, and honestly, we wouldn't want one.

Catering That Feels Personal

Every event is different, and we believe the food should fit the people, the occasion, and the experience you're hoping to create.

We work with our customers to plan menus that make sense for their event, whether that's a wedding celebration, a business gathering, a private party, or something entirely their own. Our approach combines the flavors we love with personal service and the flexibility to make each event feel special.
